Sugar Fastin 142,required any medicine?

I am 56 years old Person.I am ex smoker.I have no medication except BP 0.25 Prolomet.I have taken medicine 2019 for Sugar.But After control my sugar I stopped medicine.Then I test every 3 month,sugar is not found.But today I test Fastin,then Sugar is 142.Medicine is required?

Hba1c is required for confirmation of diabetes. If that is in diabetic range then need to start medications or else not needed
