Lipomas are benign swellings and are often present in multiple locations. They are not harmful and can be removed for cosmetic reasons. Two approaches either directly excising which leaves a scar or by liposuction if they are of reasonable size, without scars. Small lesions can be dealt with phosphotidylcholine injections frequently which will dissolve the fat. Laser lipolysis is another method.
