hi, in addition to medicines by consultation of your doctor, pl follow these points regarding gout control : The reference range of uric acid is typically 3.4-7.2 mg/dL (200-430 µmol/L) for men (1 mg/dL=59.48 µmol/L), and 2.4-6.1 mg/dL for women (140-360 µmol/L). Do you get pains in joints? Non-vegetarian foods are one of main reasons for Uric Acid suffering. Do you eat non-vegetarian foods? If yes, I strongly suggest that you replace non-vegetarian foods with pure vegetarian foods ( NOT to eat eggs which has lot of cholesterol also ) and take fresh fruits also. Non-vegetarian foods are not natural for human body and can cause lot of harm in long run such as high cholesterol levels , obesity , blood pressure , heart problems , blood vessels damage and similar many problems, In fact , it is scientifically proved that Humans are biologically herbivores ( vegetarians ) , so eating non-vegetarian is against law of nature for Human beings. Regarding protein sources , many vegetarian foods provide ample quantity of proteins like lentils , beans , pulses , peas , milk , paneer. Vegetarian foods are best for your overall health. Please make it a point that too bitter, too sour, salty, hot, pungent, dry and burning foods are to be avoided as such foods cause distress, misery and disease. Thus deep frying foods or foods taking lot of oil as in gravy vegetables , salty foods , spicy foods , long preserved , frozen foods , junk foods like pizzas burgers chips are to be avoided. In addition , walk fast for 30 minutes every day or engage in some service every day. It has been scientifically proved that "transcendental meditation" and chanting are great for physical and mental well being and help to regulate habits of foods and lifestyle. So it is essential that you do meditation and chanting regularly. Transcendental meditation works nice on self. To know how to practice transcendental meditation , please "Google search" for Prabhupada books. To understand the process of "transcendental meditation" , i strongly suggest that you enroll today for free e-course at www.joincourse.com If you like me to suggest to you nice talks on meditation and chanting, then you can listen to the audio at http://tunein.com/radio/Hare-Krishna-Lectures-s113429/ You can listen either on your phone or on computer either directly at the webpage or through application "Tunein Radio". The dose of zyloric is 300 mg per day. Dietary restrictions are essential. If you do not get relief with this dose you could try febuxostat 40 mg with consultation of your doctor
