Hi..Sudarshan Kriya yoga: Involves a sequence of four breathing techniques: slow breathing, forceful high-frequency breathing, chanting, and a cyclical breath technique. It’s believed that these breathing techniques provide a neurophysiological workout leading to greater flexibility and plasticity in the nervous system . Research suggests that it improves cognition, stress, anxiety and depression. However there are reports that it may exacerbate psychosis or schizophrenia.
Alternatively anxiety can be treated with medications and relaxation techniques.
