Hello Practo User, Please observe your child for some time. Elevate the hand as much as you can to rest it. Children recover very soon from minor strains, don't worry.
Next Steps
I personally don't recommend balm or ointment to the child....not even hot or cold water pack.

If the pain persists till tomorrow, please see a Orthopaedic doctor.
