Hello dear. What is your brothers age? Any other swelling in the body? Any fever / liquid coming from swelling? Has swelling increased or decreased? You said GROIN- are you a medical / dental student? What exactly do you mean by groin? Your doctor gave medicines - but what did he say it was? Has your brother seen a doctor? You see, it can be something as simple as  sebaceous cysts in the hairy region or something like lymph nodes (but usually they also come in neck / armpit).

After reading the information u provided most likely it looks like enlarged lymphnodes, but i can b sure only after asking more details. Very important thing i wana ask if he is having any wound on leg or any other symptoms, also i would like to know medicine was prescribed etc Mostly such lumps can b treated with medicines, sometimes ultrasonography or fnac is advised but better to ask details before reaching any provisional diagnosis

Hello. As per your description, they appear to me as lymph nodes. Most of them come from infection from the lower half of the trunk to the toes. As there was no response from antibiotics i would like you to undergo the follwing tests. Other possibilities would hernia, abscess
