This sounds like tension-type headache or early migraine â both very common with night shifts and heavy screen use. Night shifts disrupt your sleep cycle and screen glare causes eye strain, both of which trigger exactly this kind of one-sided episodic headache. No brain imaging is needed at this stage.
Next Steps
Get an eye check done â you may need glasses for screen use. Take regular screen breaks (20-20-20 rule: every 20 mins look 20 feet away for 20 seconds). Try to keep a fixed sleep schedule even on night shifts. If headaches become very frequent or severe, consult me on Practo for further evaluation.
