The use of emergency contraceptive pills, such as i-pill, typically contains a high dose of hormones like levonorgestrel, which can temporarily disrupt your hormonal balance. Hormonal changes are known to be associated with acne breakouts. While there isn't a direct link between i-pill consumption and acne for everyone, some individuals may experience skin-related side effects due to hormonal fluctuations. It's essential to note that acne can be influenced by various factors, including genetics, stress, diet, and hormonal changes. If you have noticed a correlation between taking i-pill and an increase in acne, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional. They can provide personalized advice based on your medical history and assess whether the acne is related to hormonal changes or if there may be other contributing factors. In the meantime, maintaining a consistent skincare routine, staying hydrated, and adopting a balanced diet may help manage acne symptoms. However, seeking professional medical advice is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of your specific situation and appropriate guidance on how to address your acne concerns.
