Sticky Discharge and Dryness!

I've experiencing sticky water discharge during night and excess mucus in the eye during day or any other times! Problem is most of the times the mucus blurring my vision by spreading over the eye ball! It'll clear only after washing my eye with water. I've experiencing this for last 1 month! What is the problem! Please let me know or give me a suggestion for the next step!

It could be due to any kind of infection or allergy. Better to consult ophthalmologist immediately
