Steaming and coronavirus

Does steam inhalation kills coronavirus in the first 1 or 2 days of contraction as claimed on social media? And if it is helpful, for how often and how long are we advised to do it? Thankyou doctors for taking the time to answer my query in advance

Steam inhalation primarily acts on your mucosa and helps in decreasing the inflammation there. Also helps in removing the congestion in yiur sinusis. This benefits you symptomatically as decreased cold and cough. I personally done think it kills any virus!! U are advised to have it as long as your have cough or cold. Even if u take after that there is no harm
