Spotting on 16th day of the cycle

I have recently observed my mensural cycle is changing. I generally get my period between 26-28 days and it lasts for three days but in Jan I got on 37th day and last month 33rd day I.e. mar 1st. This month I am observed spotting on 16th day itself. Spotting for me everytime happens two days before my period starts.  I had unprotected sex between 10th and 14th days of the cycle. Please suggest why this is happening.
