Spotting in between periods

My last period was on 22nd March. I noticed a black spot on 5th April and the bleeding continued for 5-6 days. It was just light bleeding but it was black in colour and smelly too. I have a history of irregular periods as I have hypothyroidism and pituitary micro adenoma. I want to you should I be concerned and consult a doctor or is it normal??

It's not normal. But if it's first time this has happened, then don't worry too much. Irregular bleeding is common with thyroid and pituitary problems. Do an ultrasound. Of that's normal, you don't need to worry
