If I quit smoking suddenly after 22 yrs of non stop chain smoking, can it trigger any kind of cancer cell growth?

However the effects of the long term smoking cannot be reverted and hence you should get yourself checked as quickly as possible and at regular intervals. Taking some forms of cancer insurance may be advisable.
