Hello...  The description u have given most probably points towards the term called melanonychia.. Where there will be excessive deposition of melanin pigment beneath the nails..  It's usually being and nothing to worry about unless a esthetically demanding..  But for diagnosing it properly and if required to excise it ull have to consult an appropriate doctor. Coconut oil hardly penetrates the nail to reach the involved area..
