Slight numbness in arm and hand

My wife feels slight numbness in either of left or right arm and hand while sleeping. Her all blood test reports are normal except Total cholestral which is 221 and Vitamin D which is on deficiency side. Is this the cause or do we need to get any other tests done to understand root cause. In general, she is not having any issue apart from mentioned concern.
