I had a skin abscess drained and no pus left over but the area is still sore and swollen. How long does the soreness and swollen typically last?

If the pus has been drained from the abscess the time that it would take to heal would depending upon the size of the raw area that has been created . also you would require an antibiotic course for a week or two weeks and the lesion will take time to return to normal I advise you to be patient and follow the doctors advice and give it some time.
