The CT scan report findings are: LUNGS: a large heterogeneously enhancing lesion measuring approx. 7.43cm×4.38cm×8.25cm in CS & CC dimensions is noted in the superior segment of left lower lobe. The lesion is causing attenuation and cut off the segmental branch of the bronchus.Two calcified nodules are seen in postero-basal segment of right lower lobe. Suggests possibility of mitotic etiology, However FNAC is advised to rule out other possibilities. PLEURA:There is mild pleural effusion. Mediastinum: Medialtinal structures are FNAC TEST RESULT IS: Microscopic examination: Smeats shows many epithelioid cell granulomas with multinucleated gaint cells, histiocytes and inflamatory tissue debris.Malignant cells are not seen. Z.N. Stain:-AFB not found. Impression: Granulomatous Inflammatory lesion. 1)Tuberculosis 2)Sarcoidosis.
