Hello... Sickel cell disease is autosomal recessive disease.. Its hereditary... Some will have sickle cell trait (milder form) .. Some will have sickle cell disease. Most of times females act as carrier,high reticulocute count and sickel cells in peripheral smear confirms sickle cell disease .... Consult general physician..
