Shigella dysentery

My son stool test came that he has been infected by shigella bacteria. An infection load of 137 is present. He is admitted in the hospital. It's is 7 day and the  diarrhea has not stopped. I am so worried. No fever though. Please help as when the diarrhea will stop. He has the urge to poop and keeps pushing. Can something be done about it. Please help
