Severe head ache with sleep deprivation

My mother is having severe head ache and sleep deprivation from last 7 days along with fever. She is taking medicine for fever and the fever is intermittent. Now she complains of severe head ache and is unable to sleep. Kindly suggest how to go ahead.

Consualt a physician specialising in neuro cases...may be meningitis ...need evaluation of csf and brain scans also...then further course can be decided...
