Severe dandruff

Hi, I have had severe dandruff for years. 9 years ago I was prescribed halox s lotion application and then wash with Scalpe shampoo. This has been the only medication that works to control dandruff for me even now. However, another doctor had prescribed anabloom shampoo and a different cream for application on scalp. That didn't work. I have read on multiple forums not to use halox s lotion for a long time. I am afraid I may have already overused it. Is it ok to continue usage once or twice a week?

Don't worry...you are suffering from seborrheic dermatitis causing dandruff... Specific medicine available for good control... Treatment depends on the severity..Do direct online consultation for detailed prescription by sending photos.

U could b suffering from Sebopsoriasis. Its is the name for a condition that is an overlap of psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis in which symptoms of both conditions are exhibited. It is typically found on the face and scalp and appears as red bumps and yellow, slightly greasy scales. Factors linked include Stress , Dry weather , Skin irritants or hormonal variation. They can b controlled and u can b weaned off from Halox lotion gradually. Consult a Dermatologist for the same.
