Severe acidity, flatulence and heartbun

I have been experiencing heartburn and flatulence since a decade. I have tried different diets and attempted lifestyle changes. Yet I suffer from acidity at least 4 times a week. If I take pantoprazole in the morning, the day goes fine. If not, I remain uncomfortable throughout day and night. Should I go on taking the above medicine forever, or is there any other permanent solution to this?

Hi..... Avoid foods and drinks that trigger heartburn. Everyone has specific triggers. Common triggers such as fatty or fried foods, tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, mint, garlic, onion, and caffeine may make heartburn worse. Avoid foods you know will trigger your heartburn. Eat smaller meals. Avoid overeating by eating smaller meals.... Avoid alcohol. Alcohol can irritate the mucous lining of your stomach...
