Why was it done? If suspicion is of multiple myeloma, then we need to do Bone marrow Aspiration and biopsy along with skeletal survey , FLC ratio to rule out. SPEP can be normal in non secretary myeloma. The need for further investigation depends on why exactly the test was done.
