I have PCOS. I tried loosing weight and it didn't work so I started taking metformin. I'm worried about negative side effects and will it worsen any insulin resistance symptoms if I come off it? (I haven't even been told by my GP that I am insulin resistant I just guessed)

Metformin actually improve insulin resistance. What is your fasting insulin level ?
