For mucormycosis, doctor says heavy dose of steroids is one of the problem causing it. How do you quantify heavy dosage? Is 16/32mg a day for an adult, a heavy dose? And how long is termed as long term usage of steroids? Can someone please answer this. Thanks in advance.

Any steroids which is taken more then 3months is considered as a risk factor. We are still not sure that steroids is only factor for mucor. Moreover steroids is imp in moderate to severe covid infection.
