Seizure episodes
My brother had his first seizure and was diagnosed with a tumour in the brain. Tumour was operated out and was on medication enchorate chrono. He was seizure free for 5 yrs and then got it again due to missing of doses. Since then he has been having seizures every 3 months. He is on levipil now. Why is he having seizures inspite of operation and is it also due to change of medicine? Also, he has his seizure only during sleep, especially when he sleeps little late or watches movies in theatres. Should he visit a neurologist and redo hid tests all over again?
Seizures may occur even after the tumor is gone as in this case. He need to be on medications again and appropriate dose needs to be fixed. His doctor can help him in that. It is also important to re scan the brain as some of the tumors are likely to come back. This could also be the cause of recurrence of seizure.
Regular medication, life style modifications, adequate sleep, de addiction, de stressing and adequate sleep are some of the measure that can be adopted to control seizures effectively.

Hello....... Stress, metabolic disturbance, life style can aggravate convulsions.. So he should be careful about his routine activities.. It could be either due to anotomical or physiological cause. Only after examination one can say.. Don't do HIDA scan now itself, consult neurologist...
