Lattice degeneration is a common, atrophic disease of the peripheral retina characterized by oval or linear patches of retinal thinning....for some cases laser treatment is used to seal the lattice degeneration and associated retinal holes. Laser treatment is a simple procedure that can be done on opd basis... Laser is not effective in preventing retinal detachment in patients who have no symptoms...Consult Ophthalmologist....
