We examine retina of all the patients as a rule.....for high myopes,it is must as in high myopia..retina becomes weak and some weak areas develop in retinal periphery so regular retina examination helps us to locate those weak areas and treat them in time. There is no relation between high cylindrical power and retina examination...as I said we should get our retina examined as a part of routine eye examination We advise retina examination once a year for routine patients but if a patient has any retina problem then more frequent examination is required
