Result of my Quadraple Marker test
Hi.. I am 30 years old this is my second pregnancy present I am 14 weeks 2days pregnant and my doctor suggested for quadraple marker test and after seeing the report the doctor said there is a down syndrome and there are chromosomal abnormalities. Now she recommended to go for amniocentesis test, here I am attaching the quadraple marker test. Please let me know whether there are any risks to baby in the report. I want to know whether the result of Amniocentesis test will be accurate. Please give me a reply. Thanks in advance.

You have mentioned 14+2 weeks but report says 15 +6 weeks. I would also want to see the USG reports ( NT scan if done).
Cut off for the test is 1 in 250. Your risk has come as 1 in 258. Normally, the risk reported will be more than 1 in 1000.
The report means that if there are 258 pregnant women just like you (same age, gestational age, etc.) then 1 person will have a downs syndrome baby. Its abnormal baby.
Next Steps
A good early anomaly scan by a fetal medicine expert and NIPT. If both are normal, then anomaly scan at 20 to 22weeks. If they are abnormal, amniocentesis has to be done.
Otherwise directly opt for Amniocentesis. It's a diagnostic test which confirms whether the baby is having normal set of chromosomes or abnormal trisomy.
