Related to covid vaccine
Since 2days I had cold & cough but still I took covishield vaccine today at 12.30 pm.
Afternoon at 3pm I took 3 tablets (azikok-500, montewok-Lc & 3rd tablet name is not there) from a nearby medical store for cold & cough.
Will the vaccine work on me or no?
Will there be any adverse effects?
I still have cough n cold now at 6pm...what shld I do now?
Will there be any problem now?

See ppl, if you experience dry cough or running nose then please do a RT-PCR test first (even before taking any vaccines). Covishield is a virus vector vaccine. As you are a 21-year-old pt, you needn’t worry about the efficacy of the vaccine as it’s definitely going to provide you w the primary immunisation. Covishield uses a chimpanzee adenovirus (AZD1222 or ChAdOx1), which carries the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The chimpanzee adenovirus has been used because humans will not have pre-existing antibodies to this adenovirus.
Next Steps
** You shouldn’t be taking any unknown OTC tablets without the consultation from a physician.
**You shouldn’t be taking the antibiotic if you don’t experience pyrexia.
Recommended continuing with the current medication except for the azithromycin 500 mg tablet.
Updated the prescription by adding Zincovit tablets.
