Hi Doctor, Could you please let us know that whether vaccine 'MENACTRA' is necessary for 2 year old kid? Is it fine if that vaccine is not given to child? And also let us know the purpose of Menactra vaccine? Thanks and Regards, Poornima.A

Consult Now
It is a vaccine for prevention of meningococcal meningitis. It is a costly vaccine and not mandatory. Meningococcal meningitis is not a very common disease, but can be difficult to treat leaving permanent sequele. So go for it if you can easily afford it, but don't worry if you can't.
