Post menopausal bleeding is an alarming symptom, but is mostly due to endometrial hyperplasia(increased thickness). Also there could be some cervical causes for the same. However it could also be an early feature of an endometrial neoplastic lesion or a cervical neoplasm.
Next Steps
Visiting a gynecologist for a routine examination to rule out any cervical lesion is advisable.
Health Tips
A fractional curettage for confirmation of endometrial hyperplasia and exclusion of any neoplastic lesion is essential.
