It looks like your daughter has a small blister/ulcer on the underside of the tongue, likely a traumatic ulcer or mucocele — both are common and usually harmless.
Possible cause:
• Minor injury from teeth, food, or toothbrush
• Lip/cheek biting habit
• Sometimes after viral infections
Next Steps
Offer soft, bland foods (avoid spicy/sour/salty items).
Encourage fluids and cool foods (curd, buttermilk, cold milk).
Maintain good oral hygiene; rinse with plain water after meals.
If child can cooperate – apply Zytee gel(pea-sized) locally 2–3 times/day after meals.
Health Tips
Avoid:
• Spicy chips, citrus fruits, pickles, toothpaste with strong mint
• Touching or popping the blister
Usually heals within 7–10 days.
If it recurs frequently, persists >2 weeks, or becomes painful/swollen → needs review to rule out aphthous ulcer, mucocele, or infection.
