My left eye is reddish and has itchiness and irritation and can't tolerate light,it gets teary.This has happened to me before.

It might be due to allergy or infection or dryness. Please share a close up pic of your eyes with information about pain redness watering discharge itching and blurring of vision and duration of computer usage (as it might be computer vision syndrome)

Do regular cold compresses. As you said it is recurrent don't self medicate yourself. Each time consult ophthalmologist because some medication has side effects if used for long time.
