Redness and difficulty swallowing
I had sore throat three weeks back which got resolved within 5 days of Azithromycin. I also noticed a swollen lymph node in my right side of neck after sore throat and one in left side of neck. The swollen lymph still persists after 5days of Augmentin 1gm. I have shared USG neck report in the picture. I am again experiencing mild pain while swallowing and noticed redness in throat, picture shared. Please guide me if this is something serious? Does it need any treatment?
Hi...the lymph node swelling shown in the report is due to the infection that you had 5 days back. It should settle down in 10-15 days. However if the size keeps increasing, you should get it checked by an ENT specialist. Continue gargling with Betadine 3-4 times a day. Take an anti inflammatory medicine if the pain is unbearable.

Avoid consumption of kadhas and very hot food.
Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
