Red circular small spot on left tonsil

I noticed a red small red circular spot on the left tonsil from 5-6 days. There are no other symptoms like fever, no throat pain, no cough. Can you please tell me what could be the cause and whether I need any treatment or it is something that usually go away on its own?

This could be due to either some sharp edged food particle that you might have consumed…. It could also be due to acute tonsillitis infection. There js nothing to worry For now simply do dilute betadine gargles thrice daily and avoid spicy oily food intake . Increase your water consumption to at least 2.5 litres/day of not contraindicated. You can also add some chymotrypsin combination It will gradually be alright
Next Steps
You can consult in case it doesn’t subside
