Reason for slightly high ddimer
My wife's ddimer result returned 520 ng (<500 normal). She didn't have covid in recent past .
She has high igE ànd has nasal polyps, allergies in skin and airway, asthma. What might be reason for this slightly high ddimer?
She is stubborn about taking covishield. What symptoms should I look in her for the following days to detect any blood clot (praying it doesnt happen).

Severe chest pain, leg pain, headaches, paralysis attack are symptoms to be looked for. But slight increase in D-Dimer isn't of any concern. Different lab may give different values. Get her retested and see whether levels are still high.
Is she diabetic? Or on any other medications?
You should convince her for taking vaccines.
Clots due to vaccine are very rare phenomenon and usually are very safe.
