RCT in wisdom tooth

2016-08-27 07:54:47
I have gone through 2 sittings for RCT in wisdom tooth, one on Wednesday & other on Friday. After first sitting, at night I was experiencing severe pain in my tooth even after taking Dynapar thrice a day as prescribed by dentist, so I have to take one more pain killer at night. On Thursday also I experienced severe pain at night. After second sitting on Friday still I am experiencing pain in my wisdom tooth.I am having only soft rice as food all the time during this course. My dentist is saying that all the canals are clean & I should not experience pain.My question is: is this normal in RCT or something had gone wrong. On Monday I am going for filling of canals & then composite filling.Request for suggestions & advice.

Dear brother , Root canal is little tricky , its not commodity its a skill, And body response is always like 2+2=4 We can only predict / guess but cant say with 100% guaranty  And yes some time , pain happens due to body response Pain can abe due to several other reason Wait for obduration, (third sitting )after that your dentist will recall you after 6-10 days in that period all the pain should have relived , otherwise you have to visit some other dentist But for now believe in your doctor let him heel you

Its not too common but sometimes the tooth undergoing Rc can pain intermittently esp after the sitting is done.  Pl talk to your dentist & ask him o prescribe you some other medicines if this is not helping.  probably am antibiotic too should be taken.  don't do your root canal filling till the pain subsides.

Very difficult to answer without x rays. But however wisdom tooth rct s are difficult and can cause pain. Only after seeing the x rays you can get a better answer.
