Query regarding COVID-19 vaccine

I'm asking this question regarding my father. He is a mitral valve replacement (MVR) patient which was done in 2019. He also was diagnosed then with COPD. Now he is on acitrom, dytor5, clavilip, pantocid and udiliv500 tablets. He is taking udiliv as he also has gall stones. Wanted to ask if he should be taking the COVID-19 vaccination? Is it advisable? And what precautions should be taken care of in this regard?

Hello. Would suggest wait for better vaccines to come and take precautions taken by him in the previous year. If he wishes to take vaccine , he would have to withhold blood thinners 2 days prior to vaccination.  To be restated post vaccination.
