A few patients are experiencing rhythm problems post-covid. Beta blockers actually help. Repeat ECG ECHO after 3 months. Review then.

Resting heart rate though on higher side is not very high to cause concern. Post covid high heart rate can be due to fatigue, hypoxia, myocarditis, loss of endurance, dehydration etc. Taking beta blocker is just a symptomatic treatment for any high heart rate. Need to figure out the cause first. You can take beta blockers temporarily for symptomatic heart rate control along with good hydration. If his blood oxygen level is normal and has not had any major lung damage during covid then get a TSH done.

Heart rate is within normal limits. Only if he has symptoms he need la to be on beta blocker. No need to treat the numbers of he doesn’t have any symptoms. Just look for underlying causes like infection, dehydration, thyroid function. Are any medications there which causes tachycardia?
Next Steps
Regular exercise and meditation and breathing exercises
