Pulmonary function test

Doctor, I have yesterday gone through medical check up( needed for employment in petroleum refinery). I consider myself completely fit and don't have any breathing problem. Yet when I took PFT Test( spirometry), the reading in the resultant graph just passed 6 or 7. So does this mean that I am medically unfit??? Or its just normal. Online I read that the value on the graph should pass 8. I am really worried since my future is dependent on it. Please help me as soon as possible.

Hi. I understand your concern s. 6 is fine but the pft needs to be interpreted . Consult a pulmonologist for the same.

There are other parameters for the same. Do get a medical professional preferably a pulmonologist to interpret the pft and correlate with your clinical condition.
