Take him to a clinical psychologist first. Sometime it happens that people things that psychiatrists are mental doctors and they will give medicines. So they dont want to go. Clinical Psychologist do not give medicines though they also treat mental problems. If he needs medicines than also a clinical psychologist can refer you to a psychiatrist and guide you properly.
