If she has psoriasis,  my recommendation is to visit your dermatologist when it starts. Psoriasis doesn't have root treatment till date but it is very much controlable with medicines. Till then you reach to your doctor,  she may start salisylic based shampoo for scalp and apply momatesone cream (steroid, so don't use for lo ger than 2 weeks). Meanwhile fix your appointment.
