Probable urine infection?

Since yesterday I feel slight discomfort urinating. Feels like there is a cut. It stays for only a second or two when I first pass urine and then it goes away. Wondering if this is a urine infection or if it is something else? At other times I absolutely feel nothing. Just have a dry vagina and that is it.
