Pressure feeling on hand

It happens to me sometimes while sleeping at night.a pressure  like feeling will develop in hand and I will beat bed with my hand to recover from it.after 5min I will be ok.i used to sleep with hands keeping up above head. Is it due to acidity or position of sleeping?do I need to consult doctor?

Thanks due asking me to reply. You may be having carpal Tunnel syndrome. It would be ideal to have an NCS study done of the median nerve of that particular limb. You may have to visit an ortho surgeon or a neurologist who can order the test for you. I cannot prescribe meds as Practo prohibits me from doing so.
