Hi All, My baby born 28+3 weeks,after long stay in NICU now baby (35 weeks) is in home. Recently we observed baby is grunting too much upto some time, after that going to sleep well. While grunting time baby is not comfortable to sleep on bed and not ready to take feed, temperature maintaining around 97.5. other than this no unusual symptoms. Can you please help me is this because of nose breathing blocking issue ? We are using drops already,after sometime he looks comfortable. Especially in night time he grunting more and feels  irritating.

You should consult pediatrician for above complaint... Grunting is not normal in any baby...so consult your pediatrician as soon as possible...

Hi, Grunting is not normal, needs medical attention immediately . Is the baby having noisy breathing like snoring????
Next Steps
For noisy breathing use nasal drops 4 hrly and then clean the nose with cotton . Nose block would be there for all babies till 4 months age. If baby is grunting, meet the doctor.
