Pregnancy test invalid

My wife has taken pregnancy teat and it is showing invalid. Period is 10 days late from expectation. Is this too early to take test? Kindly suggest what to do next? Should i take another test?

If she has already missed her periods then its right time to do urine pregnancy test. If its inconclusive then you can probably do a beta hcg blood test to confirm pregnancy
