I've been on the contraceptive pill for the third month/strip back-to-back and would like to take a 7 day break mid cycle, and then continue taking the pill. (i.e. take a break without finishing the entire strip). if i do this mid cycle, is there a possibility that i get pregnant from intercourse from the previous week since sperm can live fr 7 day

yes, u are not supposed to take a break in between. it loses efficacy of pills.
