She is carrying and into 6th month. She is having high sugar levels and kindly suggest what to eat and what to avoid.

She should first visit Obstetrician and get thorough check up done (if not done earlier). Regular check ups are a must. Obstetrician will advise as per the blood sugar levels, whether diet control is enough or medications are required. If the blood sugar levels are not too high, dietary control would do. The diet should have less carbohydrate. It is best to consult dietitian, at least, once.

Have regular check ups as advised by Obstetrician as uncontrolled Diabetes has adverse effect on both mother and the unborn baby.
