Hi, i had D&C in June due to missed abortion. after 3 months we have visited to doc for again pregnancy. she has asked for few tests. one test is cytomegalovirus igm, that is positive. otherwise all reports were fine. Is this problem will recover automatically within 2-3 month. doc advise me, wait for again pregnancy till 2-3 month. cytomegalovirus igm test will repeat. then you plan your pregnancy. kindly explain me ... thanks

Cytomegalovirus is one of the TORCH group of infection. IgM suggest active infection, so i pregnancy is tried during this period chances of abortion are high. So during 2-3 mnths period, infection will  get subsided. Repeat test is to see conversion of Ig M to Ig G that means there is no active infection
